Base salary range: $74,441 - $96,770

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team of instructors who train Navy officers and enlisted personnel in navigation, seamanship, and ship-handling skills using simulators and other tools.
The role requires supervising staff, developing training materials, ensuring courses meet Navy standards, and advising on maritime training programs.
It's a good fit for someone with deep expertise in naval navigation and experience managing educational or training teams in a military or maritime setting.
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY TRAINING INSTRUCTOR (NAVIGATION) in the Mariner Skills Training Directorate (SWOSN72) of SURFACE WARFARE OFFICERS SCHOOL.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector 1) demonstrates mastery of all aspects of navigation, seamanship, and ship-handling; 2) Provides supervision, leadership, and direction to subordinate instructors by delegating specific authority to carry out their respective responsibilities; 3) Guides, leads, and advises subordinate personnel and providing recommendations for improving other instructors, procedures, and standards; 4) Develops, builds, and integrates instructional tools for delivery throughout the Integrated Learning Environment.
