About the Position: Serves as Chief with responsibility for planning, coordinating, and directing the accomplishment of functions concerned with requirements determination, stock level establishment, requisitioning, purchase, receipt, storage, issue, disposition, and stock record maintenance for engineer supplies, equipment, and materials necessary.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Managing installation-level supply programs by determining material requirements, maintaining property accountability, and ensuring compliance with governing regulations; 2) Establishing immediate and long-range storage plans for large-scale warehouse operations to achieve maximum space utilization and accountability;3) Developing annual and/or quarterly funding requirements and executing procurement actions for mission-essential supplies and equipment; And 4) Exercising supervisory leadership by providing guidance to subordinates to resolve complex supply and logistics challenges.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

Major Duties:

  • Serves as Accountable Officer for such equipment and supplies in the DPW, USAG-Daegu area of responsibility.
  • Exercises technical supervision over property administration and property book functions.
  • Storage space consists of about 3 warehouses with 12,000 square feet of covered bin and bulk storage space and 135,000 square feet of open storage.
  • Manage installation-level supply programs by determining material requirements, maintaining property accountability, and ensuring compliance with governing regulations.
  • Develops annual and/or quarterly funding requirements and executing procurement actions for mission-essential supplies and equipment.
