About the Position: Serve as the Supervisory Telecommunications Specialist, GS-0391-13 for Contingency Operations in the Exercise Planning Branch, supervising contractors and military Communications Planners.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Planning and Evaluating: Developing telecommunications plans, orders, or annexes to support operational plans, contingencies, and exercises; 2)Strategic Thinking: Analyzing communication policies and system programs to recommend and implement operational procedures for supported commands; 3)Technical Competence: Managing telecommunications systems, such as satellite and radio frequency networks, to ensure interoperability between joint or multinational partners; AND 4) Administration and Management: Providing technical guidance to junior personnel or contractors.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
