This job involves leading a team of technicians in managing complex naval projects, especially those related to replenishment systems for ships, by handling planning, budgets, personnel, and technical oversight to meet military goals.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a Supervisory Technician in the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme, CA.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a Supervisor Technician.

This experience has made me a results-oriented leader adept at the end-to-end management of complex programs, with a proven ability to plan, organize, and provide technical direction while managing personnel, finances, and resources.

Applying mission-level thinking, I identify and integrate current and emerging operational capabilities, particularly in the lifecycle management of UNREP systems.

My expertise includes complex projects and earned value management, cost projection, and navigating acquisition and contracting to ensure strategic objectives are met.

  • You will provide management, planning, technical direction, and personnel management for the assigned Branch, and formulate duties for first-level supervision.
  • You will facilitate understanding of management goals and Command objectives. I will develop and design new work processes to improve productivity and value. I will also analyze organizational problems and develop timely and economical solutions.
  • You will identify complex project management, earned value management principles, business and financial systems, cost projection, acquisition and contracting in support of the lifecycle management of UNREP systems.
  • You will lead and coordinate project management, both technically and administratively, to provide comprehensive support for UNREP systems for U.S. and allied fleets.
  • You will be responsible for the administrative, personnel, and financial management of the branch, using the tools required by management and implementing Command and Governmental policy.
  • You will motivate and train branch members, ensuring quality work within cost and time limits.
  • You will plan and assign work efficiently and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with others, including senior leaders.
