Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team to manage cybersecurity compliance and operations for a naval research center, focusing on protecting networks and systems from threats while ensuring alignment with military missions.

Full Job Description

You will serve as the Cybersecurity Compliance Branch Head in the ACIO/Information Technology Division, Corporate Operations Department of NAVSURFWARCENDLD.

This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-6 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-05 pay band (GS-13/14 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying Information Technology (IT) security principles, cybersecurity principles, or cyber workforce policies to oversee the execution of cybersecurity activities to support and strengthen organization cybersecurity posture.

Examples of qualifying experience may include: Monitoring and evaluating compliance with cybersecurity requirements. Planning and executing IT audits and security reviews.

Leading computer security incident efforts to resolution. Providing expertise in cybersecurity workforce management.

Applying knowledge of DoD/DoN RDT&E networks, labs, and principles (e.g., DREN, RDTE, SDREN, JMN, and JIOR) Applying knowledge of US Navy Combat and Weapon System of Systems (e.g., AEGIS, SSDS, MK160, and SPY) Applying knowledge of DoD, DON and NAVSEA mission and organizational structure.

Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
