Entry salary: $62,107 | Full performance (GS-12): up to $96,770

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team of engineers and technicians who support and improve weapon and combat systems for the Navy, including on-site help, upgrades, security checks, and testing.
It requires overseeing daily operations, mentoring staff, and reporting to high-level leaders on technical and budget matters.
A good fit would be someone with experience in engineering leadership, especially in defense or military tech, who enjoys guiding teams and solving complex system problems.
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY TECHNICIAN in the SELF DEFENSE TEST SHIP DIVISION, COMBAT SYSTEMS TEST AND EVALUATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER PORT HUENEME DIVISION.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing leadership and guidance in performing In-Service Engineering and fleet support functions to include providing distance or on-site engineering support, modernization, systems engineering, cybersecurity, and Test and Evaluation for weapons systems.
