Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).

Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team that supports and coordinates efforts to prevent sexual assault and help victims within the U.S.

Marine Corps, including overseeing programs, ensuring policy compliance, and providing training and guidance.

A good fit would be someone with experience in social services or victim support who is organized, empathetic, and skilled at managing teams in sensitive situations.

Key Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience at GS-11 level or equivalent in implementing and overseeing Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) programs
  • Ability to supervise and coordinate SAPR personnel, including SARCs and Victim Advocates
  • Skills in work planning, assigning tasks, performance evaluations, and training subordinates
  • Experience monitoring compliance with SAPR policies and conducting program assessments
  • Knowledge of developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and program orders
  • Background in social sciences or related field (per OPM standards for 0101 series)

Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY REGIONAL SARC in the Department of Navy of I MARINE EXPEDITIONARY FORCE.

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: implementing the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) Program; overseeing and coordinating a Sexual Assault Prevention and Response program; and monitoring compliance with policies impacting the SAPR program.

  • You will perform administrative and technical supervisory duties to include work planning, assignments, training, discipline and leave.
  • You will assign work; establish performance standards, objectives and conduct performance evaluation of subordinates. Provide guidance, information and training on performance and administrative matters.
  • You will supervise a regional team of Sexual Assault Prevention and Response SAPR personnel, comprising of Supervisory Sexual Assault Response Coordinators SARCs, and/or SAPR Victim Advocates VAs.
  • You will be responsible for the oversight and coordination of the SAPR Program throughout the regional Area of responsibility AOR and subordinate organizations.
  • You will provide guidance on program implementation; monitor and evaluate compliance with policy impacting the SAPR Program, and assists in the development, implementation and oversight of command program guidance.
  • You will write, establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and SAPR Order.
  • You will conduct assessment to ensure consistency and effectiveness of the SAPR Program and victim care system.
