Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team to manage programs related to closing or realigning military bases, focusing on budgeting, environmental compliance, and coordinating with various stakeholders.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER in the BRAC Program Management Office of BASE REALIGNMENT AND CLOSURE PMO.

San Diego, CA - Salary Range: $169,001 - $219,703 Washington, DC - Salary Range: $169,279 - $197,200 Philadelphia, PA - Salary Range: $163,023 - $197,200 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-14) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Working knowledge of the policies, precedents, goals, objectives, regulations, and guidelines of DON/DoD budget formulation and execution sufficient to analyze financial and budgetary relationships to develop and defend recommendations for financial and/or budgetary actions; 2) Providing Environmental Restoration and expertise when engaging with officials concerning environmental laws; 3) Experience performing effective, constructive, employee and team feedback for the purpose of improving performance, knowledge of group dynamics, state of the art project and program management tools are required and 4) Negotiating skill with persuasive arguments and reconciling differing interests into consensus is required.

  • You will exercise a high degree of judgment, ingenuity, and good management practice in determining the applicability of guidelines to the work completion
  • You will have working knowledge of environmental laws including the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA), the National Historic Preservation Act, the Endangered Species Act.
  • You will have working knowledge of the Clean Air Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA)
  • You will have experience performing effective, constructive, employee and team feedback for the purpose of improving performance, knowledge of group dynamics, state of the art project and program management tools are required.
  • You will have skill in negotiating with persuasive arguments and reconciling differing interests into consensus is required.
