Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team that reviews and coordinates important documents, analyzes new laws and rules to see how they affect the Department of Justice, and helps senior leaders make better decisions by improving processes and managing information flow.

It's a supervisory role focused on policy advice, program development, and staff oversight in a fast-paced government office.

A good fit would be someone with strong analytical skills, experience in policy or government operations, and leadership abilities who enjoys tackling complex organizational challenges.

Full Job Description

This position is in the Department of Justice, Justice Management Division, Office of the Executive Secretariat (OES).

OES oversees the review and approval of official documents and coordinating the flow of information critical to rigorous decision making.

OES is also responsible for the coordination of all policy related decision material submitted to the Department for clearance.

OES provides records management services, including storage of classified material and document searches.

To qualify for the position of Supervisory Policy Analyst (Assistant Director), at GS-0301-14 you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or equivalent band in the Federal service, which includes: Analyzing new or proposed legislation and/or changes in regulations; Conducting studies of organizational efficiency and/or productivity and recommending improvements in organization, staffing, work methods, and/or procedures; and Developing strategies to resolve issues that impact the agency program goals or objectives.

The duties and responsibilities for a Supervisory Policy Analyst, GS-0301-14 generally include, but are not limited to, the following: Identify, design, and/or implement Agency-wide programs.
