Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team in a naval shipyard's pipe shop, where you'll oversee daily operations, make tough decisions to keep projects on track, and coordinate with other departments to handle unexpected changes in work.

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PIPING INTERNAL SHOP MANAGER in the Pipe Shop (Code 960) Production Resources Department Manager (Code 901), Production Resources Department (Code 900) at NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience serving at the first level supervisor level (WS-10).
Experience making decisions in difficult situations and identifying and resolving changing work situations. Experience applying principles, concepts, and practices concerning the Piping Shop.
Experience identifying and resolving changing work situations. Experience monitoring Cost and Schedule Performance and taking actions to correct negative trends.
Experience applying basic knowledge of Project Management Fundamentals.
