As an Supervisory Operations Support Specialist, you will manage administrative programs - including human resources, position management, staffing, performance management, benefits, timekeeping, and onboarding - and work to evaluate, improve, and prioritize services and processes.

The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 04/15/2026.

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service.

The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 04/15/2026.

GS-13: You qualify at the GS-13 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position.

You must have experience performing the following duties: Managing the resolution of issues impacting administrative programs and customer service, including areas such as human resources, position management, staffing, performance management, and benefits; Utilizing and modifying established practices to resolve administrative program challenges, including those that are unique or complex; Analyzing programs, processes, and systems to develop and maintain efficient operations; Coordinating with internal and external partners to support human resources and staffing functions, such as recruitment, onboarding, position management, workforce planning, employee relations, or personnel administration; Leading administrative management tasks and regularly communicating progress, issues, and recommendations to managers to support informed decision-making.

  • Serves as a technical subject matter expert in administrative programs, specializing in areas such as staffing, position and performance management, new employee orientation, telework, benefits, alternative leave, data management, or timekeeping.
  • Makes recommendations that serve as the basis for new systems, regulations, or programs, or for effective modifications or updates to existing systems or processes.
  • Represents the organization at meetings and conferences, and through appropriate and authoritative written communication, providing expert guidance, recommendations, and briefings to decision makers on major mission or administrative programs.
