Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team in planning and overseeing cyber operations for national defense, including evaluating team performance, assessing cyber strategies, and recommending actions to military leaders.

About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f.

Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25.

This position is located at the USCYBERCOM Fort Meade, Maryland. CYBER EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITIONS ARE NOT SUBJECT TO THE TWO-PAGE RESUME LIMIT.

  • Provide supervision to non-supervisory employees.
  • Deliver expert knowledge of cyberspace operations to leadership and make joint decisions.
  • Recommend global action for cyberspace operations.
  • Lead others in executing analytical plans and assessments of cyberspace operations.
  • Advise team members in creating knowledge-based conclusions on all phases of cyberspace operations.
  • Represents cyberspace community by soliciting input from cyberspace to USCYBERCOM representatives.
  • First-level supervisor for civil service and military personnel.
  • Review selections of vacancies and determine if they meet mission requirements.
