Full Job Description

This position is located in the Office of the Secretary of War (OSW), Director of Administration and Management (DA&M), Senior Administrative Office (SAO), Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

The DA&M serves as the senior official and advisor to the Secretary of War (SW) and Deputy Secretary of War (DW) for integrated, full-spectrum oversight and performance improvement at the OSW and Department of War (DoW) levels.

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.

Appling analytical and evaluative methods to assess program effectiveness and recommend improvements. Supervising or leading a team of analysts responsible for management or program analysis functions.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Provides leadership and expert guidance on a wide range of management and program analysis functions.

Leads a team of analysts and is a key advisor to senior leadership on matters concerning human capital management, resource allocation, and strategic planning to enhance organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

Serves as a senior analyst and internal consultant, conducting comprehensive studies on organizational structures, distribution of work, business processes, and staffing utilization.

Performs cost-benefit, risk, and life-cycle cost analyses for major projects and programs to provide leadership with a basis for making resource allocation decisions.

Serves as a key advisor to senior leadership on the analytical and evaluative aspects of the strategic planning process.
