Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT ANALYST (MISSION SUPPORT) at the NAVAL WAR COLLEGE in Newport, RI.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Leading and directing complex operations for a large organization; 2) Serving as a principal advisor to senior executives on administrative, operational, and strategic matters; 3) Overseeing multiple functional organizations or programs; and 4) Integrating resources, policies, and strategic initiatives to support organizational mission objectives.

  • You will serve as Deputy, Chief of Staff and Director, Mission Support, at the Naval War College (NWC).
  • You will provide advice and policy recommendations to the Chief of Staff on a wide variety of programs, issues, and initiatives requiring the Chief of Staff's attention or decision.
  • You will review and analyze proposals, inquiries, recommendations, and other communications/requests forwarded to the Chief of Staff for consideration.
  • You will prepare briefings, reports, decision papers, and other materials for the Chief of Staff.
  • You will work closely with Protocol and Events and the College's Strategic Planning and Engagement Officer to coordinate and plan distinguished visitors and group visits to the college.
