Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPV LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST within BLOUNT ISLAND COMMAND, a subordinate unit of MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS COMMAND.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience in managing finances across multiple programs or program elements, managing contractor performance, and experience in managing materiel audit activities across multiple organizations.

  • You will coordinate and direct the accomplishment of all assigned functions encompassing extremely large, difficult and diverse programs and projects.
  • You will be responsible for planning, controlling and directing support activities for the Marine Corps' Maritime Prepositioning Ships (MPS).
  • You will be responsible for the establishment, management and execution of immediate, mid-range and long-term planning for support of MPS, a program in Norway and additional programs established in overseas locations.
  • You will review/analyze management reports and statistical information to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of operations.
  • You will determine prepositioning requirements such as funding, supply, manpower, maintenance, training, and facilities.
  • You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and management of the Command's major acquisition efforts including requirements documentation, specifications and statements of work.
