This role involves leading a team of engineers at a naval facility in California, focusing on environmental planning, compliance, and innovative solutions for contamination cleanup and conservation.
It requires overseeing projects, managing budgets, and advising on how environmental rules support military readiness.
A good fit would be an experienced engineer with strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of environmental regulations, and a background in technical consulting for government or defense projects.
You will serve as a Senior Supervisory Engineer (Division Director) in the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC) of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER.
This position is part of the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC) Personnel Demonstration Project.
The ND-04 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 through GS-15.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 to GS-14 grade level or ND-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing expert consulting and advisory services to a command or agency on environmental planning; 2) Performing environmental compliance related innovative technology/methodology testing, evaluation, and optimization projects; 3) Providing sound technical advice drawn from cutting-edge information to improve environmental planning: including identification and cleanup of contamination.
4) Writing environmental reports (e.g., technical reports/memorandums, technical guidance, fact sheets, issue papers) relevant to current projects or programs; and 5) Communicating with internal and external stakeholders on restoring and sustaining environmental conservation.
