This job involves leading a team to manage the supply chain for naval ammunition, ensuring inventories are accurate, policies are followed, and training is provided to the fleet.
It requires overseeing reviews, solving supply issues, and coordinating with various military stakeholders.
A good fit would be someone with strong leadership experience in defense logistics, especially in ordnance handling, who enjoys mentoring others and working on complex projects.
You will serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist in the Ammunition Supply Chain Strategy (ASCS) Division of NAVSUP AMMO LOG CENT MECH.
Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating expertise in Department of Defense (DoD), Department of the Navy (DoN), and Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) end-to-end ordnance inventory management and ammunition sentencing policy and processes.
Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on complex projects. Experience in assigning, carrying out, and tracking deadlines of delegated workload on multiple fronts.
Ability to represent command externally, often at the senior level. Experience mentoring junior employees.
