Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team to manage supplies and materials for Navy ship maintenance, creating policies and plans to ensure everything runs smoothly and on time.

It requires overseeing logistics programs, coordinating with others to meet goals, and guiding staff on efficient resource use.

Key Requirements

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-03 (GS-13 Equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing direction or guidance in the execution of work efforts related to supply and material management support for ship maintenance.

  • You will work with key stakeholders to define goals, while converting concepts and ideas to policy, programs, directives, and processes.
  • You will perform short and long-range planning, coordinate and integrate tasks, establish milestones and schedule events, and work to determine the most effective and efficient utilization of resources.
  • You will be responsible for developing, authoring, interpreting, and promulgating technical and administrative policies and procedures that provide RMCs with up-to-date Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) guidance.
  • You will manage all CNRMC logistics programs, providing leadership to other divisions and to logisticians regarding all aspects of supply, sustainment, and logistics support of ship maintenance.
  • You will support government personnel in directing material support of maintenance availabilities to meet Navy performance, cost and schedule requirements.
  • You will establish work assignments to be accomplished by the employees in the program, seeing priorities, preparing schedules for work completion, and ensuring the timely performance of satisfactory work efforts.
