Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS SPECIALIST in the FLEET SUPPORT TEAM of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Expertise in Fleet Support Team (FST) Logistics; 2) developing program sustainment and acquisition integrated logistics support; 3) Effectively managing technical and professional services required to sustain a weapon system; 4) Evaluating new approaches, guides and standards to make logistical decisions.

  • You will ensure fleet aircraft/engine safety and readiness goals are fully supported without significant change.
  • You will expert for logistics support related to the assigned aircraft or engine and acts as a representative for the NAVAL Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) for matters relating to acquisition, sustainment, and performance based logistics.
  • You will coordinate program directions and assignments, assists in the planning, analysis and execution of an effective Foreign military Sales (FMS) Integrated Logistics Support Program.
  • You will be responsible for all acquisition and in-service support requirements affecting aircraft/engine acquisition and operations.
  • You will interact with senior foreign and domestic Government and industry executives, as well as other logisticians, engineers and program managers.
