Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST on the Supply Support Team within the E-2/C-2 Fleet Support Team at Fleet Readiness Center Southwest in San Diego, CA.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Examples of specialized experience: 1) Responsible for all Logistics supply support aspects/phases of assigned programs from concept exploration to disposal to satisfy the needs of the fleet customer; 2) Provides day-to-day full time administration of the logistics supply programs and products associated with the FST.

Has cost schedule and performance responsibilities for these programs and products; 3) Provides expert consultation to the FST on matters relating to supply support management.

Advises the FST on supply support operations and provides adequate notification of problems and issues evolving from those operations; 4) Reviews supply support program objectives to identify and correct deficiencies in establishing an integrated logistics support program; 5) Sets priorities, distributes workload and resources, tracks resource execution and evaluates progress of program teams and individuals; 6) Reviews and understands supply support activities to include stakeholders such as Program Office, NAVSUP, DLA and associated supply support facilities.

7) The incumbent provides resources and processes to support and maintain the intended mission capability; to maintain inherent design capabilities of the systems at the minimum expenditure of resources to preserve the planning operational life and to achieve readiness goals.

  • You will be responsible for all Logistics supply support aspects/phases of assigned programs from concept exploration to disposal to satisfy the needs of the fleet/customer.
  • You will provide day-to-day full-time administration of the logistics supply programs and products associated with the FST. Has cost, schedule and performance responsibilities for these programs and products.
  • You will manage and executes programs within the common processes and operating practices of the FST. Tracks execution of budgets, and expenditures of workhours ensuring consistent application of program requirements across the IPT.
  • You will provide expert consultation to the FST on matters relating to supply support management. Advises the FST on supply support operations and provides adequate notification of problems and issues evolving from those operations.
  • You will serve as a supervisor, technical advisor, and spokesperson within their program area.
  • You will assist in the development and executes the planning, directing, and prioritizing of activities and, therefore, must routinely adapt to frequent and unpredictable changes in programs and funds
  • You will brief senior Navy officials regarding program supply support issues and represents FRCSW FST in high level focus groups concerned with problems, issues, developments and innovations surrounding logistics management.
