Job Description

Summary

Full Job Description

As the Supervisory Grants Management Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the technical and business activities of Grants Management Branch and coordinate unit activities and supervise staff in the Office of Grants Management.

You will be required to complete a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE Form 450 to determine if a conflict or an appearance of a conflict exists between your financial interest and your prospective position with the agency.

You qualify at the GS-14 level, if you meet the following qualification requirements: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: performing the following types of tasks: managing grants activities for an organization, including pre-award and post-award activities; developing, interpreting, and providing guidance and technical assistance on grants regulations, policies, procedures, and techniques; coordinating grants and awards planning and policy functions with other staff and organizations; and providing supervision and direction to other staff.

You will receive credit for all experience material to the position, including experience gained in religious, civic, welfare, service, and organizational activities, regardless of whether you received pay.

  • Monitor and report on the status and progress of work, checking on work in progress and reviewing completed work to see that the supervisor's instructions on work priorities, methods, deadlines, and quality have been met.
  • Communicates to the team the goals, assignments, milestones, issues under review, and deadlines to be met for all grant applications submitted from their geographic region.
  • Serves as a resource to the Management Team (Chief Grants Management Officer (GMO), Deputy GMO, Branch Chiefs) by providing guidance on technical grants policy questions and analyzing, assessing, and making appropriate recommendations.
  • Participates in review and approval of grant initiatives and funding plans.
  • Provides advice to grantees on unusually complex or unique administrative matters relating to grant mechanisms, policy, and procedure.
