Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading engineering and architectural efforts for military construction projects at a naval facility in Maine, including overseeing budgets, tracking project progress, and ensuring contractors meet safety and quality standards.
A good fit would be an experienced professional engineer or architect who enjoys managing complex builds, analyzing costs and schedules, and solving on-site issues in a team setting.
It requires strong technical knowledge and the ability to handle negotiations and reports for government projects.

Selective Placement Factor(SPF): This position has an SPF which is current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect (RA) in any state, District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico.

In addition to the Basic Requirements and SPF for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Applying knowledge of Military Construction (MILCON) Program regulations and procedures to make engineering determinations with regard to construction execution; 2) Assisting in the projection and tracking of current budget year and budget year +1 construction workload; 3) Reviewing and analyzing construction metrics for areas such as schedule growth, cost growth, and timely closeout of active contracts and task orders; 4) Assisting in and/or performing Construction Assist Visits to validate, document deficiencies, and track completion of action items as well to evaluate contractor safety compliance; 5) Utilizing office automation/computer software programs to generate metric data and reports related to construction workload management; and 6) Negotiation of contract change orders.
