You will serve as a Supervisory Public Affairs (Manager) for the Small Business Administration (SBA), Office of Disaster Recovery & Resilience (ODR&R), Field Operations Center East (FOCE) in Atlanta, GA or Field Operations Center West (FOCW) Citrus, Heights.
This position provides first level supervision to the Supervisor Public Affairs Supervisor and manages the Public Affairs department.
Generally, time in Non-Pay status is not creditable towards the specialized experience requirement listed below.

As a Supervisory Public Affairs Specialist (Manager) at the GS- 1035- 14, some of your typical work assignments may include: Serve as the first level supervisor to the Public Affairs staff.
Ensure that the Center's plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated to the team. Plan the work to be accomplished by subordinates.
Plan and produce digital and social media web content projects for publication and dissemination through multiple channels.
Provide information in the form of press releases, formal and informal presentations at public gatherings, private meetings, responses to Congressional inquiries, public service announcements, and other written and oral communications.
Serve as the adviser to field personnel on media and governmental (Congressional, Federal, state, and local) contacts.
Acts as a spokesperson for DR&R and supports the Center Director and Supervisory Public Affairs Specialist with making public appearances, preparing presentations, talking points or speeches as necessary.
Communicates the Agency's programs and objectives and ongoing activities related to disaster declarations with all levels of management and Congressional officials.
