Base salary range: $104,604 - $135,987

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team in the EPA's Office of Air and Radiation to develop and manage environmental policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and communicate with stakeholders to protect air quality and public health.

This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to one of the duty stations stated in this announcement on a regular basis.

In addition to the basic education requirements, you must have specialized experience and/or directly related education as described below: To qualify for the GS-14 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-13 level defined as providing policy and/or regulatory advice to program leadership; providing input on regulatory and/or communication plans; and coaching or mentoring others.
To qualify for the GS-15 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-14 level defined as advising teams, stakeholders, and/or senior leadership on policy or regulatory matters; providing oversight and recommendations on regulatory or communication plans; and leading workgroups, projects or programs.
You will need the following competencies in order to perform the duties of this position successfully at GS-14: Program/Project Management/Evaluation.

You will: Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the organizational unit, to ensure they comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customers' needs.
Exercise supervisory responsibilities to foster an environment that empowers employees to participate in and contribute to mission success.
Represent the organization to internal and external stakeholders by building effective working relationships, providing authoritative research and programmatic guidance, and fostering collaboration.
Serve as a technical advisor on issues pertaining to policy, regulatory review, and communications for the assigned office.
