Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team that handles the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hydraulic and ship control systems on naval vessels, while overseeing operations and ensuring everything meets technical standards.
It's a supervisory role in a Navy maintenance center, focusing on planning work, managing staff, and analyzing system performance to support the fleet.
A good fit would be someone with hands-on engineering technician experience in mechanical or electrical systems, plus strong leadership skills and knowledge of naval or industrial equipment.
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Hydraulics and Ship Controls Branch Code 254, Auxiliary Systems Division Code 250, Engineering Department Code 200, of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing the process for installations, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, adjustment and overhaul of a wide range of branch equipment and systems.
Experience applying technical engineering principles, advanced management principles, practices, theories, methods, techniques, and skill in integrating management services.
Experience conducting direct fleet support, functional checks, analysis of system, component casualties, and malfunctions through knowledge in electronic, electrical, and mechanical aspects of branch systems and equipment.
Experience analyzing findings and developing recommendations in the adjustment of program plans, objectives, and resourcing to accommodate changes.
