Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS BASE of MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS COMMAND.

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience initiating and recommending contracting policy and procedures; strategic acquisition matters, long and short-range planning efforts; perform administrative, technical, and supervisory duties in all aspects of personnel management.

  • You will be responsible in planning, coordinating, and directing the administrative, management and technical activities of the Contract Department.
  • You will provide advice on request or as need is perceived on impact of procurement issues/problems or techniques on command policy or programs.
  • You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day functions of the Department and exercise full range of supervisory and personnel management authorities.
  • You will be responsible for the contracting activity using appropriate funds.
  • You will have influence in the decision affecting the overall management of the Command in areas as program milestoning and resource allocation, both contractually and internally.
