Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team that handles payroll for non-appropriated fund employees in the Army, including planning operations, assigning tasks, and solving complex pay issues.

Full Job Description

This position is located at Defense Finance and Accounting Service, Texarkana, Texas.. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less).

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Demonstrated progressive knowledge of the policies and procedures of Army NAF Payroll functions is required.

At least one year leadership or supervisory experience is required. Ability to communicate in a professional manner both orally and in writing.

Required experience must have been equivalent in complexity and difficulty to the next lower grade level.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered, "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Highly Preferred applicants will be proficient with Microsoft Office products and have work experience of at least one year with data analysis.

  • Serves as NAF Payroll Operations Branch Supervisor.
  • Plans and coordinates NAF Payroll Program operations, assigns work, sets deadlines, develops schedules for accomplishment of work, explains requirements and objectives, and ensures personnel are used to best accomplish the payroll mission.
  • Advises, assists and mentors subordinates in solving unusual or significantly complex and difficult problems, and renders decisions on controversial matters.
  • Plans/coordinates NAF Personnel pay issues with NAF Civilian Human Resource agencies worldwide and NAF Financial Services.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
