This job involves leading the budget and financial management office for the NIH's Clinical Center, a major healthcare facility, where you'll advise top leaders on planning, analyzing, and executing budgets to support medical research and patient care.
You'll oversee staff, develop annual budgets, review costs, and ensure efficient use of resources across departments.
It's ideal for an experienced financial leader with a strong background in healthcare budgeting and a knack for strategic planning in a government or large organization setting.
This position is located in the Office of Financial Resource Management (OFRM) at the Clinical Center (CC) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
The incumbent serves as Chief, Office of Financial Resources Management (OFRM) and Budget Officer for the NIH CC.
The incumbent is the principal advisor to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and senior staff of the CC in the financial planning, analysis, evaluation and management of the CC's programs.
You qualify at the GS-15 level, if you meet the following qualification requirement: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: Providing budget and financial management services and consultation to a large Healthcare organization; planning, coordinating, reviewing of Healthcare financial operations, budgetary formulation, presentation and execution; developing and reviewing departmental costs on an annual basis; developing, maintaining and enhancing budget processes and reporting.
