Summary

This job involves leading a team in planning and managing budgets for the EPA's air and radiation programs, ensuring everything complies with laws and meets organizational goals.

This position is in the Office of Air and Radiation, Office of Program Management Operations, Budget Formulation and Planning Division. About: The Office of Air and Radiation.

This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to one of the duty stations stated in this announcement on a regular basis.

NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

To qualify for the GS-14 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-13 level defined as providing administrative and technical advice or leadership in budget formulation and justification; participating in strategic planning, program evaluation and development of programmatic performance measures; and leading workgroups, projects or programs.

You will need the following competencies in order to perform the duties of this position successfully: Decision Making. Planning and Evaluating.* Administration and Management. Employee Development.

You will: Plan, organize, and direct the unit's activities to ensure legal and regulatory compliance and to meet customer needs.

Exercise supervisory responsibilities to foster an environment that empowers employees to participate in and contribute to mission success.

Represent the Agency to stakeholders by building effective working relationships, providing policy and procedural guidance, and resolving issues as they arise.

Serve as a technical advisor on issues pertaining to annual budget requests, audits, and annual performance measures.
