Base salary range: $51,332 - $66,732

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This temporary supervisory role involves leading a team of lawyers and support staff in handling employment discrimination lawsuits for a government agency, focusing on cases where negotiations fail and court action is needed.
The position requires overseeing investigations, developing legal strategies, and ensuring efficient litigation to protect workers' rights.
It's ideal for an experienced attorney with strong leadership skills and a passion for civil rights enforcement.
As a Supervisory Attorney-Advisor (CR) (Assistant Regional Attorney), GS-0905-15, you will be part of the Los Angeles District's Legal Unit Los Angeles District Office.
If selected, you will be responsible for recommending and conducting all litigation with respect to the matters investigated by the district's enforcement units where conciliation has failed, and for supervising trial attorneys, paralegals, and other support staff in these efforts.
For the GS-15: You must have earned a professional law degree (J.D.
or LL.B.) from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association, be an active member of the BAR, and have 4 years of professional legal experience with at least one year being equivalent to the GS-14 level.
Professional legal education above the first professional law degree may be substituted for experience required as follows:(a) The second professional law degree (LL.M) may be substituted for one year of experience (b) The third law degree (J.S.D) may be substituted for one year of experience beyond the LL.M.
