Base salary range: $104,604 - $135,987

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading teams and managing archival projects at the National Archives, from planning and preserving records to deciding what information can be released to the public.
It requires overseeing the full lifecycle of archives, like digitizing documents and solving access issues.
A good fit would be someone with strong leadership skills, experience in records management, and the ability to handle multiple tasks under deadlines.
This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, Research Services, Transparency and Access Program.
The incumbent is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and controlling all of the archival functions for assigned projects.
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience for the GS-14 grade level is defined as one year of experience at the GS-13 grade level, or equivalent, that is typically in or related to the position and which equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position.
Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience: Leading a team, program, or project and managing multiple priorities, using time management to complete work within set deadlines.
AND Reviewing records for information restricted by access statutes/policies and recommending release decisions.
AND Experience collaborating, working with customers, executing communication strategies, plans or policies to individuals.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following requirements, if applicable (as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F): Time-in-Grade: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
Major Duties:
As a Supervisory Archivist, you will: Determine the need for plans, and monitor work relating to special projects across the archival lifecycle.
Provide recommendations, advice, guidance, or reports supporting critical management decisions and day-to-day operations about assigned projects, including (for example) re-appraisal, processing, relocation, digitization, preservation, and resolution of special access issues.
Establish priorities, plans and schedules for short and long-range project work. Assist Research Services managers in developing, implementing, and leading comprehensive archival projects.
