Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team in a naval research center to manage testing and evaluation of energy storage systems, focusing on safety and technical support for military projects.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Energy Systems Specialized Test & Evaluation Branch (JXMN) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading the planning and execution of projects, programs, or initiatives by managing project resources and quality deliverables to ensure mission objectives are met..

  • You will serve as Branch Manager for the Energy Systems Specialized Test and Evaluation Branch, located in the Power and Energy Systems Division.
  • You will provide supervisory oversight to employees that provide engineering and technical support to all energy storage device evaluations within the division, specifically covering safety-related testing).
  • You will develop schedules/milestones that support current and future infrastructure and plans for growth.
  • You will develop and maintain Branch's long/short term planning for funding, human resources, facilities and equipment.
  • You will anticipate and analyze risks to resources, products, programs and processes and implement effective control measures.
  • You will develop procedures to improve the quality of services, products and processes for customers.
