This position is located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Associate Commissioner, Debt Servicing and Financial Solutions.

As a Supervisory Accountant, you will supervise the work of employees responsible for formulating policies and standards; and processing, certifying, recording, and reporting receipts and expenditures accurately, efficiently.

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service.

One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.

Specialized Experience for the GS-13: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.

Specialized experience for this position entails: - Leading forums, discussions, or presentations to discuss objectives, make recommendations or persuade a variety of audiences; AND - Developing, implementing, and applying regulations, policies, or guidelines for the purpose of making recommendations, proposing actions, or decisions; AND - Gathering, analyzing, and applying problem solving methods to complete projects.

In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks. Major Duties:

As a Supervisory Accountant, you will: Supervise a workforce which is staffed primarily by accountants and/or accounting technicians.

Direct, plan, assign, and determine priorities of work to be accomplished by subordinates, determine priorities, determine performance standards and evaluate performance of those directly supervised.

Participate in the selection process, hear and resolve grievances and employee complaints, determine employee training needs, keep employees informed of management goals and objectives, and ensure that occupational safety, health, equal employment opportunity, and internal control principles, policies and procedures are complied with.
