Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job is for a supervisor role in a naval command center in San Diego, where you'll lead teams working on command-and-control systems, manage technical projects, and handle personnel tasks like hiring and performance reviews.
It involves engineering, research, and planning to develop and improve computer hardware, software, and related systems for military use.
A good fit would be someone with engineering or technical experience in defense projects, strong leadership skills, and the ability to juggle technical oversight with team management.
You will serve as a SUPERVISOR in the COMMAND AND CONTROL (C2) of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band NM-03 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing technical and project management oversight over Command-and-Control information system(s); contributing to the development of business proposals, strategies, and/or policies; knowledge of personnel management processes (i.e.
hiring, promotions, awards, etc.) and assessing employees' performance.
