Full Job Description

Job Purpose:

In partnership with the Executive Director of Admissions, Enrollment, and Student Success, provide leadership for advising operations and student success initiatives, supporting students from onboarding through graduation through guided pathways and proactive advising.

Job Duties:

  1. Provides leadership and day-to-day coordination of the Navigator advising team and Beaufort Front Desk staff, including workflow oversight, training support, and alignment of advising practices with institutional goals.
  2. Provides counseling to students and other stakeholders on a variety of personal, social, financial, career, and academic matters in support of guided pathways.Manage advisee caseload, personalized communications, and maintain accurate, detailed records of all advising contacts in the student success management system.
  3. Assists in the management and oversight of the Navigate 360 student success advising software, including analytics, progress reporting, and early alert initiatives. Uses data to proactively identify student needs and coordinate timely, targeted interventions from first year through graduation.
  4. Oversees the instruction and coordination of COL 106, College Skills, including curriculum alignment, instructional consistency, and assessment of course outcomes as they relate to student success and retention.
  5. Leads collaborative efforts with faculty to maintain current knowledge of academic programs and pathways in order to effectively guide students in pathway selection and progression. Regularly communicates program updates, curricular changes, and pathway revisions to advising colleagues.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned.
