Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves inspecting businesses and treatment systems for stormwater and wastewater compliance, investigating spills and complaints, and ensuring adherence to environmental laws in Tacoma.
It supports the city's efforts to maintain healthy neighborhoods and a thriving Puget Sound through fieldwork, reporting, and customer interactions.
A good fit would be someone with hands-on experience in environmental inspections, strong investigative skills, and a customer-friendly approach to working with industries and residents.
