Requirements

In this position, you will be an essential part of producing the traffic signs used by County Maintenance Districts. Your work will involve setting up and operating silk-screening equipment, along with a variety of specialized tools and machines—including sheet-metal shears, roller-covering equipment, base-coat painting systems, automatic punchers, die cutters, and cornering machines.

You will assist with mixing and applying paint through the silk-screen process to ensure every sign meets established quality standards. You’ll also take part in laying out and applying letters and symbols on directional signs, supporting the full workflow from setup and adjustment to operation, cleaning, and routine maintenance of production equipment.

In addition, you will have opportunities to operate forklifts as part of your daily duties, expanding your skill set while helping maintain an efficient and well-organized manufacturing process.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience in the operation of equipment used in producing or manufacturing signs; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
