Job Description

Summary

This job involves supporting victims of sexual assault in the Navy or Marine Corps by providing advocacy, accepting reports, offering guidance on reporting options, and conducting assessments using trauma-informed methods.

It also includes helping develop prevention campaigns and delivering education workshops to raise awareness.

A good fit would be someone with experience in victim services, a passion for helping others in crisis, and skills in training and community outreach.

Key Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-09 level in sexual assault advocacy services
  • Experience assisting with developing and coordinating SAPR prevention and awareness campaigns or events
  • Experience conducting education and training on sexual assault through workshops or seminars
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches for assessing adult sexual assault reports
  • Ability to provide comprehensive guidance on reporting options to victims
  • Familiarity with Social Science Series 0101 qualifications from OPM
  • Relevant paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work in victim support

Full Job Description

You will serve as a SEXUAL ASSAULT PRVENTION AND RESPONSE VICTIM in the NAVY or Marine Corp Program of NAVAL AIR STATION.

GS-09 In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing sexual assault advocacy services; assisting with developing and coordinating command SAPR prevention and awareness campaigns or events; and conducting education and training sexual assault workshops/seminars.
