This role supports the top legal executives at the Millennium Challenge Corporation by handling administrative tasks like scheduling, preparing documents, and coordinating meetings, especially for the Board of Directors.
It involves managing workflows, budgets, and communications in a fast-paced legal office.
Ideal candidates are organized professionals with experience assisting senior leaders and strong attention to detail.
This position is located in the Office of the General Counsel (OGC), Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).
Although the position is advertised equivalent to GS-13, MCC uses a pay-band system to compensate employees. This position is pay band 4A which is generally equal to GS-13.
To qualify for Pay Band 4A applicants must meet the following: Qualifying experience for Pay Band 4A includes one year of specialized experience (comparable to the Pay Band Bx or GS-12 or equivalent non-federal experience), which is directly related to the work of this position, and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
For this position, examples of specialized experience are: providing programmatic and administrative support to senior executives, particularly in a legal environment; coordinating administrative program operations and activities such as work flow management, scheduling, overseeing travel plans and itineraries, preparing and reviewing correspondence, and managing travel, budget, contracts, scheduling, etc.; developing and managing tracking and reporting tools to track work activities, correspondence, prepare reports, coordinate meetings and other activities, etc.; conducting research and analysis related to program operations and generating briefing materials; drafting correspondence, recommendations, reports, and memoranda; and reviewing and editing documents for accuracy.

You must have one year of Federal service equivalent to Pay Band 4b or GS-12 to be eligible for Pay Band 4A.

Provides programmatic and administrative support to the Vice President/General Counsel (VP/GC) and the Deputy Vice President/Deputy General Counsel (DVP/DGC) and, at the direction of the VP/GC or DVP/DGC, other members of OGC staff.
Performs a variety of confidential and special assignments, including preparation of materials for meetings, communication, liaising with the MCC Board of Directors, scheduling, and logistics.
Drafts correspondence, recommendations, reports, and memoranda. Serves as the administrative team leader for all Corporate Secretary support functions.
Coordinates complex sets of documents under high pressure deadlines and conducts detail-oriented quality control of written work products for accuracy.
Serves as the liaison for all communication, scheduling and other administrative matters applicable to MCC Board of Director meetings Drafts and drives timeline for Board meetings.
Provides support on proper creation and storage of classified documents, performing declassification reviews, and maintaining classified materials register.
Drafts sensitive correspondence in final form for the supervisor's signature. Leads preparation and tracking of OGC budget., status of expenditures and other budget matters.
Assists with MCC contracting activities and manages the OGC purchase card.
Provides research and analysis related to MCC/foreign assistance topics, generating briefing materials and coordinating departmental learning activities.
Provides substantial administrative support to ensure office programs are carried out in an effective and efficient manner (workflow management, scheduling, overseeing travel plans and itineraries, preparing and reviewing correspondence, and managing OGC records.
Supports the OGC team in responding to Freedom of Information Act requests, including tracking requests and monitoring deadlines, managing litigation timelines, tracking deadlines and monitoring document requests.
Performs other duties as assigned.
