Full Job Description

The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period is April-October but the season may be extended or reduced due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: April 2026.

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT) Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.

Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) Use of Measuring Instruments Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc.

Repairs and maintains historic buildings, government housing, and support structures by performing carpentry, masonry, painting, plumbing, welding, and trail and grounds maintenance, including constructing, repairing, and replacing structural components such as floors, doors, windows, and roofs.

Performs basic electrical tasks such as replacing switches, lightbulbs and existing fixtures. Assists electrician with electrical tasks.

Operates and maintains various heavy equipment to perform tasks such as hauling, loading, clearing, plowing, and compacting materials on diverse terrains and in confined areas with minimal supervision.
