Job Description

Summary

This seasonal gardener role involves working on a team to maintain and improve the landscapes of Stones River National Cemetery, including caring for trees, shrubs, lawns, and irrigation systems from April to October.

It's a hands-on job in a national park setting, focused on outdoor maintenance under a crew leader.

Full Job Description

The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period for Stones River NB is April-October, but the season may be extended or reduced due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding.

Anticipated Entry on Duty: early April.

This position is located within Stones River National Cemetery at the Stones River National Battlefield.

The primary function of the Gardener is to serve as part of a project crew in the National Cemetery, under the direction of a crew leader.

The project is part of an effort to improve the condition of all NPS national cemetery landscapes.

The work includes tree, shrub, lawn care, integrated pest management, and the maintenance of irrigation and drainage systems.
