The Revenue Accounting Manager is directly responsible for ensuring all revenue accounting activities are conducted accurately and timely.
As such, this position oversees the accounting entries used to record over $40 billion in statewide revenue on an annual basis.
Actions taken in this position have a direct impact on the Office of Financial Management’s ability to generate accurate statewide financial statements.
The state’s Economic Revenue Forecast Council and the State Legislature also rely on data generated by this position.
This position is also responsible for properly accounting for revenue passed through to local governments.
This position is responsible for revenue related fiscal year end close activities including financial disclosure forms.
This position also interacts directly with the State Auditor’s Office to ensure the Department receives a clean audit.
As the subject matter expert for the accounting of revenue collected by the Department, this position is responsible for maintaining over $4 billion in state property tax levy balances by county.
This position manages a staff of 3 Fiscal Analysts which includes employee evaluations, instruction and coaching. This position also makes recommendations to the Chief Financial Officer for hiring, compensation and disciplinary actions.
