As a Retail Sales and Convention Specialist, you will be supporting the Division by providing customer service analysis, and/or SaM product sales and program assistance.
You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position includes: -Implements retail operational standard operating procedures; and -Develops long and short-range retail sale operational plans; and -Evaluates effectiveness through retail sales program for attainment of agency goals; and -Develops sales, promotional and merchandising strategies, brochures and pamphlets; and -Experience participating in sales conventions to promote products or programs.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service.

Specialized experience for the GS-11 is one year (52) weeks of experience at the GS-9 level or equivalent in either public or private sectors, that is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Specialized experience for this position is defined as: -Develops sales, promotional and merchandising strategies, brochures and pamphlets; AND -Experience participating in sales conventions to promote products or programs.
OR You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: Ph.D.
or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related OR You may qualify by a combination of experience and education.

In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13 you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.

Completes top-tier customer service operations, assistance, and analysis; vendor monitoring; support for the Mint headquarters kiosk and external sales events; oversight of external physical inventories; and/or sales outreach Responsible to assist in all merchandising and retail sales functions, including product setup and launch, inventory planning, control, and accountability Systematically collects, analyzes and interprets numismatic marketing data Performs complex marketing planning and analysis, and associated functions that address critical agency priorities and objectives and strategic plans Develops and implements significant program strategies
