Summary

Full Job Description

This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration, in the Work Planning and Procurement (JIW) organization in the OT Internal Operations (JI) Operational Technology Services (J), Information Technology (J).

A successful candidate in this position will serve on the OT/Internal Operations management team with responsibility for developing, implementing & evaluating all programs & policies to ensure the timely delivery of products & programs in support of strategic business objectives.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level [GS-13] in the Federal service.

Specialized experience for this position is defined as: 1) planning work to be accomplished by subordinates to set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work; 2) developing procurement policies and program to include the CORs, statement of work creation for approval, contract tracking and measurement, and acquisition; and 3) performing a variety of analytical and evaluative work requiring knowledge of business and trade practices in the procurement of IT/OT hardware and software products and services.

"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

As a Resource and Work Planning Supervisor, you will: Exercise delegated supervisory authorities and responsibilities, directing, coordinating, and overseeing the work and providing similar oversight of contractors when appropriate.

Determination of the highest priority work for the system to ensure efficient use of outages and resources and coordinates the changes with the impacted stakeholders when schedule conflicts arise or resources are not sufficient to accomplish all work.

Maintain continuing relationships with managers and employees within Bonneville, Department and Federal officials, service providers, and customer managers on all matters related to the organization's role in support of the Bonneville mission.

Provide understanding, support, and leadership in administering the Bonneville EEO program for all applicants and employees.

Serve as the technical authority in the development of strategies, policies, systems and initiatives to provide centralized, coordinated system-wide resource and work planning, services that ensure OT and Technical Services' programs and services are conducted in a manner that is cost effective and efficient.
