About the position: This position is Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Polar Bowl on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. This is a Regular Part-Time position.

Regular Part-Time employees have regular/continuous work schedules of at least 20 hours to a max of 34 hours per week.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience: Typing skills and basic bookkeeping/accounting skills desired.

Must have knowledge and experience with bowling league organization, i.e., skill and knowledge to assist league secretaries in setting up leagues and in running bowling tournaments.

Experience which demonstrated ability to operate a cash register, control panel, public address (PA) system and adding machine. Major Duties:

Sets up and coordinates schedules and facility for competitive bowling league events, tournaments, and special events. Arranges necessary publicity.

Establishes and maintains current schedule of events, maintains and posts team standings. Corresponds with bowling leagues to ensure activities are in compliance with ABC/WIBC rules.

Prepares cash drawers for shift cashiers. Makes change for cashiers and rings out registers. Prepares cashier report daily. Keeps daily accounting records of bowling facilities monies.

Performs courier duties to bank. Maintains logs, prepares Time and Attendance cards. Assists in inventories of Pro-shop and snack bar.

Assists in placing orders with civilian businesses for necessary equipment and supplies.

Provides on-shift coordination of bowling program activities and to perform complex clerical and administrative tasks for the bowling facility.

Works under the supervision of the Bowling Facility Manager who makes assignments, approves leave, and rates performance.

Within guidelines provided by the supervisor, exercises initiative and independent action in the conduct of the facility activities. Complies with regulations. Support position management.

May be required to work shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays. May be required to sell alcoholic beverages upon request from customer. Performs other duties as assigned.
