This job is for a recreation assistant at various community facilities on a U.S.

This announcement will be used to fill vacancies for various FMWR facilities on Fort Greely, Alaska.

These facilities can include Outdoor Recreation, Sports & Fitness, Aurora Community Activity Center and more! Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less).

Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.A qualified candidate must possess the following: Work experience dealing with the general public.

Major Duties:

  • In a patron usage facility, circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory; receives and resolves customer complaints; provides information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilities and machinery.
  • Assists patrons in use of the facility by checking out equipment, providing safety instruction, demonstrating new equipment, teaching classes, etc.
  • Plans, conducts, publicizes and arranges support for special events, social activities, tournaments and related functions. May provide work guidance to other staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
