Summary

This job is about helping people at an auto skills center on a military base, where you'll assist customers with equipment, teach them how to use tools for car repairs, and organize fun events like tournaments.

No advanced degrees are needed, just practical know-how and a positive attitude.

Full Job Description

This position is located at the Auto Skills Center. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less).

Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Work experience which involved dealing with the general public.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Best Qualified". -Possess at least six (6) months Customer Service experience.

-Experience instructing or demonstrating how to use equipment used in automotive repair.

** **In order to be considered Best Qualified, your resume must show that you meet BOTH the minimum qualifications, both of the Best Qualified criteria (must be supported by resume and/or supporting documentation uploaded with application).

Best Qualified applicants may referred to the selecting official first. Remaining applicants will be referred for consideration if the certificate (referral list) is returned with no selection.

Major Duties:

  • Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory, receives and resolves customers complaints, provides information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilities and machinery.
  • Checks out equipment, provides safety instructions, demonstrates new equipment and teaches classes.
  • Plans, conducts, publicizes, and arranges support for special events, social activities, tournaments and related functions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
