This position is responsible for issuing equipment, tracking usage, and providing essential information about on-base activities to single sailors.
Recreational Aids supports management with event coordination, ensures compliance with facility rules and regulations, and handles payments and record-keeping for Liberty activities.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Must be able to learn MWR policies, rules and regulations, involving the Community Recreation program.
Aid or assistant in the organization and administration of recreation activities, such as preparing activities calendars, maintaining attendance records, and providing information concerning schedules and activities.
Aid or assistant in the issuance of authorized property, and in the maintenance of inventory control and accountability for such property in a recreation facility.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience.
You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Major Duties:
Performs assigned duties and provides necessary services to authorized patrons, including general information and support of Community Recreation and fitness (4/16/19 acb) programs.
Provides information concerning facilities and operation. Ensures adherence to regulations, and safety and security procedures.
May assist in maintaining routine reports and/or perform clerical, custodial and/or general maintenance duties as needed.
May operate a cash register, PointofSale (POS) system, processes product or service transactions including equipment loan, rentals, resale, and program registration; receive payments and make change.
Provides customer service by greeting patrons in person and by answering the telephone; takes messages and handles customer requests or referrals to the appropriate staff member.
All ofthe abovementioned tasks relate to Community Recreation and fitness (4/16/19 acb) program delivery, e.g.
inventory control, equipment inspection, restocking, point of sale system operation, and cash handling. Adheres to NAVMED P-5010 sanitation requirements.
Provides support for Community Recreation event set up and break down. Performs other related duties as assigned.
