Perform Real Property leasing activities associated with General Service Administration (GSA) leases of which the agency enters into an Occupancy Agreement (OA) to support the agency space needs.
The Realty Specialist is responsible for working with GSA on the acquisition, utilization, and termination of GSA OA within the agency's real property portfolio.
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.
TIME-IN-GRADE: Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled.
FOR THE GS-9 LEVEL: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-7 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates: Assist with gathering, reviewing, and organizing real property data such as space requirements, utilization information, and inventory records to support routine project or program activities.
Apply basic real property policies, procedures, and guideline to complete assignments such as verifying property details, updating records, or preparing supporting documentation for acquisition or disposal actions.
Review written instructions, regulations, and technical guidance to understand requirements and ensure accuracy in assigned tasks, request clarification when needed.
Coordinate with team members, program staff, or external stakeholders to exchange information, clarify requirements, and ensure timely completion of assigned real property tasks.
Apply sound judgement to identify issues, evaluate options, and recommend solutions under limited supervision.
OR Master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or J.D.

This education must have been successfully completed and obtained from an accredited school, college, or university COMBINATION OF EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE AT THE GS-9 GRADE LEVEL: Applicants may have combinations of successfully completed education and specialized experience to meet total qualification requirements.
The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify for that grade level.
