Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves checking the quality of shipbuilding work for the Navy, including inspecting construction sites, auditing processes, and solving problems to ensure everything meets high standards for naval ships.
It's a hands-on role where you'll work with contractors and teams to review electrical systems and fabrication.
A good fit would be someone with experience in manufacturing quality control, especially in complex projects like shipbuilding, who enjoys detailed analysis and fieldwork.
You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (SHIPBUILDING) in the Quality Assurance Department, Code 300 of SUPSHIP.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing quality assurance for complex electrical product manufacturing, auditing, and skilled problem-solving for quality issues of naval combatant ship design and construction standards.
